  • A plastic bottle

  • Scissors

  • Wire

  • Glue

  • Some wooden sticks

  • Paint or decorations

First, cut a hole, big enough to put the wooden stick in, but with a little bit of room. Glue the stick to the bottle however you want. Punch to holes into the top of the bottle cap. Thread the ends of the wire into the holes and glue them to the bottom. Decorate however you want. After you're done, fill it with bird feed and tie it anywhere you want. You can also make a bird house.

Bird Feeder

  • Plastic soda bottle (You can use a water bottle, but they are less durable)

  • Soil

  • Seeds for whatever plant you want to grow

  • Scissors

  • String

  • Glue (optional)

  • Anything else you want to add for flair or for your plant

Turn the bottle so that it is now horizontal. Cut a rectangle (the size is your choice) out from the top. Decorate only the outside. Add in your soil and seeds. Lastly, tie a string around the sides tightly, glue them to the bottle if you want to, and hang it anywhere. You can even make more and attach them to make a ladder-like structure. This craft is perfect if you don't have much space for a regular garden. Find more ideas for vertical gardens here. If you want a step up from this, scroll down to see how to make a greenhouse.
